He was predeceased by: his parents, Garvin Burns and Ethel Burns; his son Michael Burns; his grandson Jeremy Burns; and his sisters, Betty Stevenson and Syble McIntyre.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Burns; his children, Donna Stevenson (David) and Richard Burns (Natalie); his grandchildren, Ashley Irvin (Russell), Ricky Stevenson (Amber), Ryan Stevenson (Sara) and Jaimie Burns; and his great grandchildren, Collins, Paxton, Hunter, Cali, Sydney, Tyler, Zachary, Lucas, Ethan and Hailey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Cathedral Community Church (130 Neely Ferry Rd, Mauldin, SC 29662). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Cathedral Community Church in Fred's memory, a fitting tribute to a man who brought so much joy into the world.
