It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Norris III (Mauldin, South Carolina), who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norris, II and Pauline McGill; and his half-sister Dawn Norris. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Padgett (Tim) and Kimberly Lanford (Geoff); his grandchildren, Tiffany Ferguson (Jon), Elliott Padgett and Savannah Lanford; his great grandchildren, Jackson Ferguson and Lyla Kate Ferguson; and his siblings, Gail Goldsmith and Thomas "Teddy" Norris.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mauldin First Baptist Church (150 S Main St, Mauldin, SC 29662). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
