It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lenora Childress (Mauldin, South Carolina), born in Union, South Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward "Ed" Childress; her parents, Lonnie Cleveland Scales and Nettie Palmer Scales; her daughter Sharon Dempsey; and her siblings, Ray Scales, Harold Scales, Odis Scales of Guy Scales, J. V, Otis Scales, Eloise Johnson, Beulah Ochiltree and Mary Gaffney.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry (Tina Childress) and Scott (Lavonda Childress); her grandchildren, Justin Childress (Ashley), Matt Childress (Kim), Leah Childress, Shawn Fowler, Christine Childress, Will Childress, Hannah Rosas (Kevin), Kaylee Forbes (Jordan) and Addie Childress; and also, Wesley, Alainia, Miller Kate, Gavin, Jackson, Nolan, Ava, Everly, Braxton and Ahlana.
