He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Stephens and Ruby Stephens; and his sons-in-law, Brian Martin and Barry Jones. He is survived by: his wife Cathie Stephens; his children, Kevin Stephens (Heather), Donnie Gilmer, Casey Martin, Calvin Gilmer and Nikki Jones; and his brother Ronnie Lackey (Martha). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
