He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Lillian Jean Franklin and Ronald Leon Franklin, Jr.; and his siblings, Ralph, Ernest, Billy, Charles, Bobby, Glen, Marguerite Weber and Marion Hubbard Hendricks.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Freeman (Benjamin) and Jeffrey Franklin; his son-in-law Kevin Childress; his grandchildren, Heather Freeman Hummelshiem (Scott), Lauren Freeman Wilhoit (Chris), Summer Franklin Arnold (Garrett) and Ronald L Franklin, III; and his great grandchildren, Hope Wilhoit, Jonathan Arnold, June Wilhoit and Jack Arnold. He is also survived by many nieces and many nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mauldin Methodist Church, Wofford University, McCall Hospice House or the charity of your choice.
