We are sad to announce that, on February 26, 2026, at the age of 74, Mike Gurley of Mayo, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mike departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mike may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mike leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James N. Gurley and Betty Turner Gurley. He is survived by: his wife Libby Humphries Gurley; his daughter Tracie Gurley; and his brother Ronald Gurley of Mayo. He is also survived by several nieces and one nephew.
