He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Horton and Flora Horton of McBee, SC.; and his siblings, Robert, Gene Horton and Irene Hargett.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Terry; his sons, Todd (Dana) of McBee and Terry of Hartsville; his stepchildren, Jamie Terry (Cassie) of Patrick and Lisa Purser of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Drake (Keri), Alex (Ansley) and Susanna; his grandparent Cash Terry; and his great grandchildren, Langston and Olivia.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to Beauford Baptist Church or Crescent Hospice of Hartsville.
