Gladys Marie Nelson Van Donkelaar Obituary
We bid farewell to Gladys Marie Nelson Van Donkelaar of McBee, South Carolina, born in Owosso, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 16, 2025 at the age of 77. Gladys touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Bob Nelson and Thelma Nelson (House); and her husband Reverend Roger P. VanDonkelaar (Pilgrim Holiness Church). She is survived by: her son Rodney (April VanDonkelaar); her grandchildren, Tiffany VanDonkelaar and Caleb VanDonkelaar (Ashlyn); her great grandchildren, Colt VanDonkelaar and James VanDonkelaar; her brothers, Bob Nelson (Jan) and Dan Nelson (Chris); and her siblings-in-law, Adrian VanDonkelaar (Denise) and Sandra Merritt. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Leland Lodge 565 (565 Pearl St, Leland, MI 49654).
