He was loved and cherished by many people including: his stepfather Roman "Pops" Versch; his parent Ovell Gregory Versch; his wife Martha Newman Mason; his siblings, Doug Mason (Scarlett) of McBee, S. C., Judy Thompson (Chuck) of Camden, S. C., Libby Connor (Eugene) of Hiddenite, N. C. and Pedy Mason of McBee, S. C.; his nieces and nephews, Hilary Amerson (Tony), Casey Reid (Billy Stacey), Joseph Mason (Amber), Jerry Mason and Chase Mason; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mason Ritz, Gregory Reid, Dalton Pratt, Jasper Reid, Maddie Mason, Baileigh Stacey and Leigh Ann Mason.
