He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gillespie McKenzie and Annie Bell Blackwell McKenzie; his son Kenneth McKenzie; and his siblings, J. W. McKenzie, Otis McKenzie, Evelyn Blackwell, Mary Beasley and Lucy Morrison.
He is survived by: his children, Lacy Wayne McKenzie of McBee, SC, Cindy Moore (Wayne) of Chesterfield, SC, Crystal Dixon (Dennis) of Chesterfield, SC and Lisa McKenzie of Kershaw, SC; his siblings, Edward McKenzie, Vance McKenzie, Ray McKenzie and Mettie Jane Gainey; his grandchildren, Burton Jaillette, Eric Jaillette, Charles Huggins, Jr., Jennifer Tiller, Dustin McKenzie, Mallory Smith and Alex McKenzie; his close friend Mettie Bradley; and his pets, Jack and Little Bit. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
