She is survived by: her husband Harvey Vanderhorst, Sr.; her children, Veronica V. Douglas (Melvin) of Atlanta, GA and Harvey Vanderhorst, Jr. of McClellanville, SC; her siblings, William Deas of McClellanville, SC, Emily Coaxum of Columbia, SC and Renee Stokes of Orangeburg, SC; her cousin Betty; and her friend May. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel AME Church (464 Society Rd, McClellanville, SC 29458).
