It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Henry Lacey III (McClellanville, South Carolina), who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William Henry Lacey Jr. and Sara Adelaide Lacey (Dennis); and his sister Elizabeth Rembert Lacey. He is survived by: his significant other Ruth Aichele Morgan Lacey; his children, Amelia Buchholz (Karl) of Columbia, Eliza Magwood (Rocky) of McClellanville and William Henry Lacey IV (Rebecca) of Charleston; his sister Brailsford Lacey; his grandchildren, Theodore, Baxter Buchholz, Cam Magwood, Beatrice and Henrietta Lacey; and his pet Mercy.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Santee Episcopal Church.
