As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Billy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Chavis and Annie Ruth Clark Chavis. He is survived by: his wife Sally Smith Chavis of McColl; and his children, William L. Chavis III of McColl, Shannon Dwayne Brigman of McColl and Dena Dawn Brigman of McColl. He is also survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rogers Funeral Home (300 N Church St, McColl, SC 29570). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at the Pee Dee Chapel Baptist Church (4700 Pee Dee Chapel Rd, Clio, SC 29525).
