With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Freddy McGill of McColl, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McGill and Mary Lois Clark McGill; his wife Myra Sue Locklear McGill; his son Carson "Lee" McGill; and his sister Brenda Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher "Chris" McGill (Jessica) of McColl, SC, Freddy McGill (Renee) of McColl, SC and Mary Gardner (Jason) of Laurinburg; his daughter-in-law Amy Grooms McGill; his siblings, Bobby Ray McGill of Rutherfordton, David Otis McGill of Laurinburg, Carolyn Summey (Rodney) of Cliffside and Thelma Waide (Ronald) of Huston, Alabama; his grandchildren, Ashley McGill McKinney, Chelsea Marie McGill, Collin McGill, Terner J. McGill, Tyson Gardner, Abigail Croke, Sydney McGill, Saige McGill and Cole Gardner; and his close friend Daniel Shoemake.
