We announce the death of Mildred Gordon of McConnells, South Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 86. Mildred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, T. C. Burris and Dorenda Burris (Meeks); and her siblings, Jhonnie Mae Mack, Robert Lindsay and William "Jimmy" Stroman.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Wilder (Oisbourne) of Casa Grande, AZ, Roshan Gordon (Marsha) of Hollywood, MD, Larry Gordon (Teresita) of Chesapeake, VA and Charles Gordon (Fujiko) of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Do-Well Baptist Church (4717 Chester Hwy, McConnells, SC 29726). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Bethlehem First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
