We announce the death of David Chavous of McCormick, South Carolina, born in Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on November 1, 2026, at the age of 21. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He is survived by: his parents, Danny and Wesley Chavous; his aunt Reba Windham (Erik); his uncles, Darrell Harmon and Ronald Harmon, Jr. (Tonya); his sisters, Destiny Harmon, Chelsey Chavous and Paige Chavous; his nephews, Barrett Harmon, Kamden, Kole and Kason; his cousins, Camron Frank, Junior Harmon, Andrew Harmon, Joe, Eli Craft, Everly, Cashton Windham and Cierra Frank; his brothers, AJ Watson, RJ Watson, Isaac Cox, Ben Howard and Chandler Batchelor; and his pet Buck.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Republican Methodist Church (865 Chamberlains Ferry Rd, McCormick, SC 29835). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
