She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Emmet Bell and Virginia Mitchum Bell; her husband Jaden Oliver Grooms; and her siblings, Sue Rhem, Virginia Pulley, Louise Morris and Thomas Bell.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Gary Grooms (Laurie) of Pentwater, MI, Peggy Mahieu (Don) of Dallas, GA and Donald Jaden Grooms (Edna) of Bonneau; her sister Thelma Bell Ortega of Ft. Valley, GA; her grandchildren, Brian Grooms (Leia), Nathan Grooms (Jill), Melissa Grooms, Jessica Grooms Mulder (Nolan), Emily Grooms Vila (Kalvin), Ashlee Mahieu Robertson (Ian) and Josh Mahieu (Amber); and her cousin Juanita Robbins. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dial-Murray Funeral Home (300 W Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at the St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery (1142 Sugar Hill Dr, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
