She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank Brookins, Sr. and Patricia Ledger Pierson; her husband Joseph Legare; her children, Doninee Wadford (James) of Moncks Corner, John Griffin of Bonneau and Katie Legare (Juan "Eric") of Hartsville; her grandchildren, Katie Castano (Roberto), Amber Wadford, James Wadford Jr. (Hayley), Addison Griffin, Isabella Villanueva, Asher Griffin, Maya Villanueva, Sage Cuenca and Kyah Cuenca; her great grandchild Luka Wadford; and her brothers, Richard Brookins and Tracy Brookins.
