He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Francis Murray and Clara Saulisbury Murray; and his brother R. Dale Murray. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Rhode Murray; his daughters, Jennifer M. Bilton (Hollis) of Johns Island and Terrie M. Johnson (Lee) of Moncks Corner; his siblings, Maxine Caddell (Dennis) of North Augusta, Delores Droze (Royce) of Moncks Corner and Woodrow Murray (Pat) of Atlanta; and his grandchildren, Caden Bilton, Clara Grace Bilton, Ansley Johnson, Ava Johnson and Amberlin Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Wassamassaw Baptist Church (704 State Rd S-8-291, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at the Wassamassaw Baptist Church Cemetery (704 State Rd S-8-291, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorials be made to the Wassamassaw Baptist Church, 704 Wassamassaw Lane, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, or to the Lowcountry Food Bank, 2864 Azalea Dr., N. Charleston, SC 29405.
