He is survived by: his parents, Sammie Montgomery Sweatman, Jr. and Denise Lynn Zimmerman Sweatman; his significant other Alexis Totten of Macedonia; his siblings, Samantha Hurn (Kirk) of Ravenel and Adam Sweatman of Macedonia; and his nieces and nephews, Emily Hurn, Mackenzie Bowers, Lara Sweatman, Conner Hurn, Maximus Hurn and Logan Sweatman.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dial-Murray Funeral Home (300 W Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice as a meaningful way to honor Dennis's love for his beloved dogs.
