He is survived by : his parents, John Wilson Adkins, Sr. and Wilma Jean Collum Adkins; his wife Lydia Marie Jacobs Adkins; his children, Christie Manuel (Billy) of Moncks Corner and John W. "Bubba" Adkins, III (Ashley) of Moncks Corner; his brother Ray Adkins of Moncks Corner; and his grandchildren, Chloe Manuel, Chlesie Manuel, Chlaire Manuel, Cory Adkins, McKenzie Donovan and Josh Donovan.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dial-Murray Funeral Home (300 W Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
