She is survived by: her children, Julia K Newton, Kimberly A Kempson, James P Brown III and Lawrence M Brown; her grandchildren, Tiffany Newton, Holly Lee, Makayla Newton-Flagg, Eric Kempson, Amber Westfield, Brianna Furr and Noel Brown; her sister Barbara Maxwell Drummond of Jasper, Alabama.; and her husband James Peter Brown, Jr.. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
