She was predeceased by: her parents, James Fletcher Owens and Edna Victoria Buttler Owens; her son Derald; her daughter-in-law Sandy Keener; her grandson Johnathan Keener; her great grandchildren, Marcus Durden and Samantha Keener; her great great grandchild David Surrette; and her husband Jack E. Avant.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Garrett (Al) of Moncks Corner and Gerald Keener (JoEllen Chester) of Moncks Corner; and her grandchildren, Trish, Ernest Durden, Chris, Lynn Keener, Kimberly, Alex Sartin, Mike Chester, Cindy Rogan, Sheri Chester, Sly Surrette, Priscilla, Andrew Bland, Julie Craven, Styrone Miller, Jenny, Donnie Martin, Nick Garrett, Melissa Cook, James and Shelly Craven.
Flowers will be accepted, or the family suggest memorials be made to the Cordesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1999 HWY 402, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
