He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark "Honey" Bartleson and Mary "Betty" Bartleson; and his siblings, Thomas Bartleson and Judy Corbet. He is survived by: his wife Gwen (Hopkins); his daughters, Paula Kirlin (Kenny) and Beth Lowe (Matt); his grandsons, Matthew Brownlee (Cori), Scott Brownlee (Hannah), Stephen Lowe and Jacob Lowe; his great grandchildren, Braelyn, Elijah, Bennett, Brooks, Emmett, Miles and Matthew; and his siblings, Mark Bartleson (Gaynell) of James Island, Judy Pratt of Goodlettsville and Lura "Cookie" Adams (Dave) of Lugoff.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Northwood Baptist Church (2200 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406).
