She was predeceased by : her parents, Cornelius Middleton and Frances Middleton; her siblings, Victoria Legree (Benjamin), Anne Graves (Jerry), Pearline White (Joe), Amos Middleton, Elijah Middleton, Oscar Middleton and Lawrence Middleton; her husband Thomas Albert Vanish; and her brother-in-law Jesse J. Vanish.

She is survived by : her children, Connie Washington Brown of Moncks Corner, S. C., Lionel Garret Vanish of Alpharetta, GA and Patrisha Vanessa Vanish of Columbus, OH; her aunt Suesen Strong; her siblings, Lillian Patterson (Roosevelt) of Summerton, S. C., Alfreda Smith, Deacon Isaac Middleton (Josephine) of Pineville, S. C. and Cinclair Middleton of Pineville, S. C.; and her siblings-in-law, Gwendolyn V. Williams (Robert) of Jacksonville, FL, Miriam V. Ham (Quincy) of Elyria, OH, Thelma Vanish, Clark G. Vanish (Linda) of Carson, CA, Burnett T. Vanish (Ruth) of Moncks Corner, S. C. and Lewis Vanish Jr. of Moncks Corner, S. C.. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Viewing was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gethers Funeral Home - Moncks Corner (200 Grace St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (1008 Sugar Hill Dr, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A burial was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at the Old Nazareth Cemetery.
