He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burkhead and Anita Dowell Burkhead; and his sister Barbara Schmidt. He is survived by: his pet Marigold; his daughter Jody E. Charpia (John Flanigan); his grandchild Kelley Sinclair; his son William Scott Burkhead (DeAnna); his brothers, Jerry Burkhead, Tink Burkhead and Donnie Burkhead; his brother-in-law Charles Kurowsky (Stephanie); his siblings' children, Scott Kurowsky (Colleen) and Jennifer Kurowsky; his great-nephew Ryan Kurowsky; and his great-niece Lucy Kurowsky. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
