He was predeceased by: his spouse Tobie S. Plunkett; his parents, Chester Alvin Plunkett, Sr. and Cora Elise Ergle Plunkett; and his siblings, Louise P. Burkett, Mildred P. Quarles, Leo Plunkett, Herbert and Clyde.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Richardson (Tim) and Jan Rutland (Billy); his stepchildren, Donna Barker (James) and Morgan Reynolds (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Alex Richardson (Ellie), Joshua Richardson, Zachary Richardson (Becca), Caleb Richardson, Katelyn Rutland Phillips (Jonathan), Jessica Rutland, Will Rutland, Chuck Robison (Angela), Eleslie Patterson (Jeremy), Geoff Barker (Flor), Meghan Barker and Andrew Barker. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 164 Mount Pleasant Road, Ridge Spring, SC 29129, where its members and Pastor Vollie have been more than kind and faithful to both Chester and Tobie during the past several difficult years.
