We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2022 we had to say goodbye to James D. Jay of Monetta, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Carlos E. Jay and Lessie Hutto Jay; and his siblings, Rev. David Jay, Robert Carey Jay, Walter Jay, Ruth Whittle and Dorothy Blackmon.

He is survived by : his wife Roma Brunson Hite Jay; his sons, James Roger Jay (Donna) of Georgetown, TX and Dennis C. Jay of Augusta, GA; his stepson Bubba Hite; his daughters, Marlene Parker (Lewis) and Laurie Simone Balbag; and his stepdaughters, Sidney Louise Schifferli, Wanda Lista and Adeline Hughes. He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and thirty two great great grandchildren.

Due to the Covid situation, masks are asked to be worn and social distancing will be observed.

In lieu of flower the family has suggested that donations be made to the American Heart Association, http://www.heart.org.
