He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie William Cockrell and Camilla Long Cockrell; his sister Janette Mitchell; his grandsons, Colin Cockrell and Alden Cockrell; his nephew Michael Paul Cockrell; and his great-niece Lynn Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Freida Miller Cockrell; his son Mark Cockrell (Libby); his brother Paul Cockrell (Geanie); and his grandsons, Dalton Cockrell, Waylon Cockrell and Caden Cockrell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Brotherhood, 114 Bethel Road, Monetta SC 29105.
