He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Aloysius Gunton, Sr. and Eleanor Elizabeth Smith Gunton; and his siblings, Frank Gunton, Pat Gunton and Kathy Cotten.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Arwood Gunton; his son Daniel Reid Gunton; his siblings, Joe Gunton, Jr. (Cece), Ken Gunton (Beth), Rosie Lytle, Karen Barber and Margie Sherrill (Kevin); and his father-in-law Del Reid. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
