He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Frazier Smith and Alice Vesta Smith; his sisters, Suzanne Smith and Kae Parker; and his grandson Aaron Michael Barg.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Smith; his children, Jeffrey Smith, Stephen Romberg (Laura), Susan Barg (Steve) and Lauren Emme; his grandchildren, Hannah Barg, Forrest Robert Good, Elijah Haak, Megan Sanders (Matt), AJ Romberg (Kenndal) and Sara Emme-Miller (Eric); and his great grandchildren, Avery, Rhett Sanders, Abby, Elijah and Everett Miller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
