The memory of Caroline Rose Deer of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 20, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her mother Christine Deer (Weber) of Mt. Pleasant; and her grandfathers, Richard Kelly and Raymond Glenn Deer. She is survived by: her father Francis Deer of Mt. Pleasant; her grandparents, Carol Kelly of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Barry and Frances Gossett of North Charleston, SC.; her children, Andrew Scott of Cary, NC, Alex and Shelby Scott (Olsen) of Johns Island, SC; her uncle Glenn; her aunt Jennifer Deer of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her cousins, Ariel Deer of Orlando, FL, Ethan Deer of Mt. Pleasant, SC. and Hayden Deer of Mt. Pleasant, SC.; her uncle Brian Weber of West Yarmouth, MA; Erin Cobb. She is also survived by several great aunts, uncles, many second cousins and countless other friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that tax-deductible donations be made to the Caroline Rose Deer Memorial Fund. All donations will be used to fund a scholarship in her name at Wando High School for a female senior who will attend Clemson University planning to major in the biosciences or healthcare.
