With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Ellis of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on September 17, 2022 at the age of 55. She is survived by: her parents, Patricia C. Russell (late Robert “Bob” Russell) of Daniel Island, SC and Hon. Gafford Thomas Cooper, Jr. (Hope Howell Cooper); her children, Cooper Jeremiah Ellis of Brevard, NC and Riley Marie Ellis of Hendersonville, NC; her sisters, Sarah Riley Cooper of Charleston, SC, Patricia Cooper Harris of Summerville, SC, Hope Boykin Langley of Simpsonville, SC, Martha Boykin Wallace of Camden, SC and Elizabeth Boykin Adams of Camden, SC; and her former husband Steven Ellis of Waxhaw, NC.. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
