With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Roy Bentley (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his daughter Kimba Lee Bentley; his parents, Charles Risk and Opal Lavern Bentley (Anderson); and his siblings, Charles James Bentley, Donald (Connie Bentley) and Carol Ann (Howard Barr).
He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Bentley (Gardner); his children, Jill Christian (Michael), David Bentley (Tera), Judith Whisman (Michael) and Isaac Bentley (Melissa); his grandchildren, Gary Galat (Jessica), Stephen Whisman (Gary), Alison Cassiday (Colin), Brianna Morris (Nick), Hope Ferguson (Jordan), Isabella Merino-Romano (Adolfo), Grace Whisman, Faith Murray (Logan), Isaac Bentley and Jacob Bentley; and his great grandchildren, Bentley Burley, Joseph Galat, Charlotte Lien, Emma Cassiday, Lucas Merino-Romano, Rosalie Ferguson and Adolfo Merino-Romano. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
