We are sad to announce that on August 8, 2024, at the age of 89, Edwin John Boothroyd of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, born in Fall River, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Edwin John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Edwin John. Though Edwin John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily McCrosson and Edwin Boothroyd; his wife Sallie (Baatz); his sons, Christopher and Michael; and his sister Gail Buttry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara McClendon (Brent) of Charleston, SC and Margaret Emily Boothroyd (Wolfgang Grimm) of Aalen; and his granddaughters, Erin Boothroyd McClendon of Charleston, SC and Sarah Grimm of Aalen. He is also survived by sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
