He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Johnson Brown; his son Eugene Johnson, Jr.; his grandson Teruko Eugene Johnson (Trae); and his brother Carvin Johnson, Sr. (Profound). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jackson Johnson; his children, Jeanette L. Johnson, Timothy M. Johnson and Tywana Johnson Tolbert (Robert, Sr.); and his grandchildren, Kiesha Johnson, Maurice Johnson, Robert Tolbert, Jr., Jessica Tolbert, Tatiana Tolbert and Makayla Tolbert. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
