He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Vollmer and Anna Vollmer (VanNoy); his wife Barbara Vollmer (Lodge) of Michael's Catholic Church; his sister Jane Vollmer; his parents-in-law, Russell Lodge and Dorothy Lodge Maroney; his niece Luanne Youmans; John (Jack), Anne Lodge, Edward, Janice Lodge, Richard and Norma Lodge.
He is survived by: his son John Jay Vollmer (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Jillian, Josie and Joy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his nieces and nephews, John Lodge (Carol), Judy Bouey (Jeffrey), Mariann Kehres (Kevin), Russell Lodge (April), Susan Lodge-Jennings and Tanya Lodge.
