She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey William McCollum and Bessie Lee Melton McCollum. She is survived by: her son Michael Scott Blalock; her daughter-in-law Samantha Wheatley Blalock of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Nicholas Gibson, Alexandra Schmitz, Madison Blalock, Connor Blalock and Morgan Blalock; her great grandchild Christopher Keir Blalock of Tampa, FL; her sisters, Carolyn Starns of Chester, SC and Faye McCollum Bridges of Rock Hill, SC; her husband Melvin; Michael Blalock and Ryan Blalock.
