It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Frederick Kaatz (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina), born in Deerfield, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kaatz of Seabrook Island, SC; his daughters, Linda (John Sullivan), Kathi (Kyle Mitchell), Susan (Dean Brockob) and Jennifer (Bob Toohill); his nephew Bill Kaatz (Donna); his niece Lori MacRae (Mark); and his adoptive children, Ed and Aly Casey. He is also survived by ten loving grandchildren with three spouses and two great grandchildren.
