With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Rhoades of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, born in Westbury, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 1, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kopack and Mary Kopack; her husband Edgar C Rhoades; and her siblings, Rosemary, Robert and William.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy (Chuck Benfer) of Milton, NY and Richard Rhoades of Saugerties, NY; and her grandchildren, Elora Benfer of Mount Pleasant, Eliza Benfer of Milton, NY and Charles Benfer IV of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
