“I served on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Board and as VP and President when Joe was CEO. He was enormously helpful to us as a Board, to me as an officer, and to the AAP as a whole. The advice he gave helped us work cohesively and efficiently. The AAP grew well in those years due in large measure to his guidance. I missed him when he retired, I will miss him even more now.
