He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ivan Hackenberg and Pearl Kaczynski Hackenberg; and his sister Patty Hackenberg. He is survived by: his wife Joan Nail Hackenberg of Mt. Pleasant; his daughter Jenny Keenan (Joe); and his grandchildren, Jay and Lily of Mount Pleasant, SC..
