He was predeceased by: his son Stephen LaTorre (Randy); and his brothers, Walter, Michael and Joseph LaTorre. He is survived by: his daughters, Dora LaTorre, Lynn Fortenberry and Joyce King; his grandchildren, John Russell Fortenberry (Brianna), Margaret King, Pearson King and Marie Ouzts; his great grandchild Sawyer Fortenberry; and his close friend Eula Finn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.
