It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Davis Powell of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Luwanna Angeleck Anderson. He is survived by: his father Walter Gassaway Powell, Jr. of Mount Pleasant; his siblings, Walter G. Powell III of Charleston, T. Blair Smith (Paige) of Moncks Corner, Chase P. Owens of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Brecken N. Smith of Rowesville; his uncles, David Anderson of Miami, FL and Rick Hutto of Charleston; his aunt Quinn McDaniels of Mount Pleasant; his great-aunt Yvonne Brien of Myrtle Beach; his grandparents, David and Luverne Anderson; Walter and Annette Powell. He is also survived by many family members and countless friends.
