He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shaughnessy; his children, Christie Shaughnessy Klingl (Michael), Tracy McGrath (Tim) and Kevin Shaughnessy (Sarah); his grandchildren, Delaney, Egan, Regan, Declan, Aidan, Finn and Fiona; his great grandchild Cole; and his siblings, Greg Shaughnessy and Sheila Jacobsmeyer.
