He is survived by: his wife Diane Hall Blackwelder; his sons, Ethan Thomas Blackwelder of Mount Pleasant and Matthew Edward Blackwelder of Mount Pleasant; and his siblings, Thomas Marvin Blackwelder III (Jennifer) of Ravenel and Emily Ann Blake (Ron) of Charlotte. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.
