It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille B. Gilliard (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina), who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Gilliard, Jr.; her parents, William Boykin, Sr. and Anna Cooper Boykin; and her children, John Gilliard, Jr., Robert Gilliard and Barbara Anne Boykin.
She is survived by: her children, David Gilliard, Eleanor McGhee, Eugene Gilliard and Leon Gilliard; her grandchildren, Barbara Laws, Devona Gilliard, Tasha Gilliard and David Simon; and her sisters-in-law, Victoria Gilliard and Anna B. Boykin. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
