We are sad to announce that on August 19, 2025, at the age of 43, Matthew Gardner Pontius of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, born in Weymouth, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa; his children, Lyla, Miles and Levi; his parents, Mary Brindisi (Tom) and Mike Pontius (Lydia); his half-brothers, Tom Brindisi and Mark Brindisi (Kristin); his parents-in-law, Victor and Katherine Lazarovici; his sister-in-law Sarah Shiner (John); and his sibling's children, Brooke, Jack Shiner, Luke and Julia Brindisi.
