He is survived by: his wife Joanne Coleman; his children, Katina Coleman, Christina Coleman, Melvin Coleman, Jr. and Terrance Nelson; his grandchildren, Makaylah Coleman and Dimitrius Scott; his mother-in-law Rebecca Cummings; and his siblings-in-law, Francina Eady, Matilda Cummings, Patricia Cummings, Lydia Cummings, Pamela Cummings, Melvin Eady, Roy Cummings, Francis Cummings, Jr., Robert Cummings, David Cummings, Allen Evans and Paul Rainey.
