He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon McClary Bateman; his daughters, Kim Bateman Baker of San Antonio, Texas, Jodi Bateman Forney (Ned) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Ashley Bateman Cusick (John) of Westfield, NJ; his grandchildren, Jessica Baker, Jack Cusick and James Cusick; his great grandchild Ava Baker; his brother Ashton Bateman; and his parents, Ashton Smith Bateman and Loris Nelson Bateman. He was also cherished by his daughters and grandchildren and hosted many friends.
